In a time where hand sanitizers are in high demand, how much do we know about it and protecting our hands??? •
Most hand sanitizers contain alcohol because they are effective in killing the germs on our hands. (I’m not going to get into the science behind it) •
Studies have shown that sanitizers with an alcohol concentration greater than 60% is needed to be effective, especially in the Coronavirus case! •
Does a higher concentration mean better?
Well, not necessarily! Using pure alcohol or a sanitizer with a very high alcohol concentration would dry up quicker (depending on the formulation). If it dries up quicker it’s less effective in its job. It would also dry up your skin quicker causing your skin to become more irritated. •
And if you’re thinking of using the vodka you have at home to sanitize, you’re wasting your alcohol. •
I’d suggest you moisturize your skin after you sanitize as well as after you wash your hands. I love using the @sukisukinaturals Whipped Shea Cream on my hands. 👐🏻 (It’s great for your hair too)
