Instagram “When I first discovered that I wanted to play the violin, it was like something deep inside of me had awakened,” says 14-year-old Pilar Winter Hill (@pilarwinterhill), a classical musician and Juilliard Pre-College student.
She picked up the violin at age 6, and at first, all Pilar wanted to do was play at lightning speed. ⚡️
“I have always been a quick learner, a fast runner, a speed reader,” she explains. “But I came to understand a most crucial lesson very early, namely that if speed isn’t coupled with being clear and clean in my playing, then what kind of player would I become?” #ThisWeekOnInstagram
